Cut Contrast

Yesterday I was totally feeling a kind of 60's vibe, so it's all matte shadows and a really defined crease. Blending on this one is a must!

For my eyes I started out with a matte ivory all over my lid and on my brow highlight, in my crease I took a matte charcoal gray on a pointed crease brush and blended the color through, to make the transition from my crease to my brow more seamless I took a matte pink beige on a blending brush and blended it over the edge of the colors, for my lower lashline I took the same matte charcoal on a smudger brush and brought on the outer half. I took a shimmery nude kohl liner and lined my lower waterline with it, I finished the eyes with black liquid liner on the top lashline only and lots of mascara on top and bottom lashes.

For my face make up I kept it simple, I bronzed and contoured with my favorite matte bronzer, for my blush I used a shimmery peachy pink to bring light to face, for my cheek highlight I took a pink-y beige champagne color and ran it on the tops of my cheeks. For my lips I kept it simple as well, since the eyes are really the focus here and used a cream finish rose lipstick.

Star Spangled Banner

Like almost every American female, I had to do a Red, White, and Blue look for the Forth of July. It was really fun and easy to do, I kind of did a twist on the classic 40's look with just a twist of shimmer and color!

For my eyes I started out with a shimmery beige base to enhance the rest of the look, over that I blended a shimmery nude color all over my lid, for my crease I blended a matte warm brown, and for my brow bone I used a matte cream color, on my lower lashline I took a shimmery teal and lined very closely to my lashes. For my eyeliner I used a black liquid liner and winged it out, on my lower water line I put a shimmery nude to make myself look more awake, then I finished the eyes with lots of black mascara on my top and bottom lashes.

For my face I bronzed in the E3 and contoured my cheeks with my favorite matte bronzer, for my blush I wanted something that would pop so I used a shimmery berry color on the apples of my cheeks and blended it back, then I highlighted the tops of my cheeks with a shimmery white. For my lips I started out with a red lip liner and lined and filled in my entire lip, then over that I put a matte red straight from the tube.

Neutral At Best

Sorry I haven't posted in a while.Gotta hate when the batteries in your camera dies!  This is a look I wore last week when I had to be in early. When I have to be in that early I think it's important to use light colors so that you look more awake then you really feel.

For my eyes I started out with a slightly shimmery beige all over the lid and on the brow bone, in my crease I blended a cool toned taupe, on my outer corner I took a shimmery chocolate brown on a pointed brush, for my lower lashline I took the same chocolate brown but used a angled liner brush instead, I finished the eyes with black liquid liner and mascara on the top and bottom lashes.

For my cheek makeup I bronzed my face in the E3 technique then I took the same matte bronzer and concentrated it in the hollows of my cheeks to contour just a touch, for my blush I took a matte medium warm pink that is basically the color I naturally blush to, to finish the cheeks I took a shimmery white highlighter and swept it on the tops of my cheekbones and the top of my brow. For my lips I used a simple everyday shimmery pink.
