Shimmering Pin Up.

Tonight was the Fall Festival at my church, which is a really fun outreach we do every year. I didn't want to dress up tonight, but I still wanted to do something fun with my makeup. I ended up doing a shimmery twist on the classic 1940's pin up look which is normally matte.

For my eyes, I used a shimmery pink beige all over my entire eye, then I put a shimmery dark taupe, on my lower lashline I put a shimmery dark cocoa brown, I winged out my eyeliner for this look, which I don't normally do, I finished the eyes with mascara.

For my cheeks I contoured a little with a matte bronzer, I applied a shimmery peachy pink to my cheeks, and highlighted the high points of my face with same shimmery pink beige color I put on my eyes.

For my lips I kept it matte, I lined my lips with a red lip liner and just went over that with a matte red lipstick.

I really love this look, and I'll probably do this look again a lot! Probably the thing I love most about this look is that it doesn't use that many products! I hope you have a great day:)

90's Grunge

For my own Halloween look I chose very last minute so something that was fast and easy to do was a 90's grunge girl look. It was really easy and it's not something you absolutely spend a lot of time on.

For the eyes it's really about being bottom heavy. I swept a nude eyeshadow all over my entire eye, then I took a black eyeshadow with a small smudger brush and put it on my outer corner just slightly in the crease, and really packed it on my lower lashline, the I put a little bit of a purple over the black on the lower lashline. I lined both my waterlines with a black kohl liner, and put a black liquid liner on my top lashline only, I finished off the look with mascara.

For my face I kept everything really matte. I contoured with a matte bronzer and then put on a medium pink pretty heavily since that was the style of the 90's, my mom told me that I was almost spot on.

For my lips I lined them with a red lip liner and put a deep wine color over that to make this really pretty oxblood color!

I really loved my look last night! For the "costume" part I wore a floral dress with a cardigan, black tights, ankle boots, and a slouchy hat. It was really simple and most people have that stuff in their closets( If you're looking for a last minute costume idea of course.) I really hope you have a Happy Halloween!

Doll Like.

Tonight my youth group at church had a masquerade, so I did my younger sisters makeup. She wanted to be a doll, and she gave me free reign just as long as I gave her heart shaped lips. This look is really easy and there aren't that many products. The only thing is you have to make the skin look as perfect as possible!

For the face I used a very light foundation, a good bit of concealer only where needed, a matte translucent pressed powder, a very rosy blush heavily applied to the apples of the cheeks only, and then I added the freckles with a bit of black kohl eyeliner.

For her eyes I used a light golden yellow all over her entire eye because she was wearing a yellow dress, then I took a medium golden yellow and put that through the crease, I took a black eyeshadow under the lower lashline and did three wings out to make it look like eyelashes, I then put black liquid liner on her top lashline and since I didn't have any false lashes I winged the eyeliner up to give the appearance of long doll like eyelashes, and finished the look with black mascara!

Now the lips are really simple, while I doing her foundation I put it over lips to cancel out their natural color, then I used a red lip liner to draw in the heart shape, be sure to over draw the bottom point below your natural lip line to exaggerate the bottom point of the heart, then I took a matte red lipstick and a lip brush just so it could be exact.

I just thought this was a cute picture of her:)

You Blue Me Away.

I love doing really dramatic looks, they really help me perfect my craft, and they end up looking pretty! Anyway, this could be used as a Halloween makeup look, for either a mermaid or the like.

For my eyes, I started out with a deep blue cream eyeshadow, then over that I put a turquoise/teal eyeshadow, I then blended a deep shimmer-y blue into my outer corner and on my lower lashline, I also put a little bit of black eyeshadow on my outer corner as well, I blended a champagne beige color into my crease, I put a shimmer-y white on my browbone, and for a added pop I put a aqua/teal color in my inner corner, I put a black liner in my bottom waterline, and finished the eyes with mascara.

For my face I wanted it equally as dramatic, but understated. I used a peach color in the contour of my cheeks and blended it upward, then I put a shimmer-y white highlight on the top of my cheeks. For my lips I kept it very natural, with just a lip liner and some gloss.

Here's the look from front on.

My Everyday Work Makeup.

Monday I started my first job, and I want to be able to keep my makeup how I like it, but it still be appropriate for the work place. Here's how I put it together!
For my eyes, I used a new palette I got from Hard Candy a couple of weeks ago. On my lid I used the second color from the left all over my lid, in my crease a used a matte warm brown, on my highlight I used a matte creamy nude, on my outer corner and lower lashline I used the first color on the right side of the Hard Candy palette, and in my inner corner I used the first color from the left from the same palette. I used a waterproof liquid liner on my top lashline only, and finished of my eyes with waterproof mascara.

For my face I like to keep things really simple and just used a matte bronzer to do a little contouring and on my cheeks I used a light peachy pink color. For my lips I used a tinted lip balm.

Products:
Lid, Outer Corner, Lower Lashline, and Inner Corner Highlight colors from Hard Candy "Top Ten Best Neutrals" Palette.
"Saddle" by MAC in the crease.
Highlight color from the "Natural Smokes" Palette by Maybelline.

Maybelline The Falsies Flared Waterproof in "Blackest Black".
NYC Bronzer in "Sunny".

Hope you enjoyed the look! Sorry it's been a while since I've posted anything, I've been busy this last week, so hopefully I'll be able to post some more stuff now! HAVE A GREAT DAY:)

September Favorites!

Some of my favorite things this month!

ELF Mineral Eyeshadow Primer: This is one of those products that really surprise you, it's only one dollar but I like it more than UD Primer Potion. It doesn't crease my eyeshadow and it lasts all day!

Hard Candy Glamoflouge Heavy Duty Concealer: Seriously the best thing ever, it lasts forever, you only need a tiny amount to cover everything, and it's only six dollars.

Maybelline Eye Studio Master Drama Kohl Eyeliner in Midnight Master: I almost always put this in my waterline. It's so richly pigmented and stays a very long time in the waterline.

Maybelline Eyeshadow Quad in Natural Smokes: I've obviously had this for a long time, and it's been one of my go to eye looks. Seriously it's amazing!

Wet N' Wild Color Icon Blush in Berry Shimmer: This is my favorite blush for the colder months, it's really pigmented so you only need the tiniest amount to really make your cheeks stand out.

NYC Bronzer in Sunny: I love that this is matte, and it looks really natural when you contour with it.

Maybelline Eye Studio Gel Eyeliner: I use this product almost every time I do my make up. It stays all day and doesn't sweat off, which is a bonus with me since I live in the South.

Korres Cherry Extract Lip Gloss in Nude: This is my favorite lip gloss, it's not sticky and it's really smooth. The color payoff is great, and it smells really good.

Rimmel Moisture Renew Lipstick in Rose Blush: This is my everyday go to lip color. Seriously it has looked good with everything I've paired it with!

Shimmering Neutral

I obviously love neutral eye looks, and sometimes it's hard to make each look different, but be that as it may, I try! This is a really great look in my opinion, it's definitely one of those look glamorous without trying really hard.

For my eyes, I went with a very shimmery pink champagne color all over my lid and into my inner corner, in my crease I used a sort of shimmery chocolate brown, to break up the texture and add more depth to the look I put a deep matte charcoal brown on my outer corner and along my lower lashline, to keep the look cohesive I used a matte cream color on my brow bone. I lined my top lashline only with a liquid eyeliner, and mascara on my top and bottom lashes to finish my eye look.

On the rest of my face I played into the shimmer on my eyes. I used a matte bronzer and a shimmery berry colored blush, and since the blush had shimmer I skipped on the highlighter so it wouldn't look gaudy and over done.

On my lips I went with a cream finish rose color lipstick and a natural colored lipliner to complete the look.
